About Us

In June 2006, a small group of individuals designed a 20,000 sq. ft. dream center. An inclusive gymnastics space with innovative programming for physical activity to serve children with special needs alongside competitive athletes.  TNT was organized to include and serve a population that did not have the same opportunities the typical child may have for economic, civic and social participation.

Our Mission

Unlocking potential through movement

"Anne Carlsen is a non-profit organization providing individuals with developmental disabilities or delays with services and supports for almost 80 years. Anne Carlsen has positioned itself on the cutting edge of innovation with unique programs, creative therapies, and advanced assistive technologies that provide life-changing programming to those we serve."

"Learn ‘n Move Childcare Center’s roots are deeply established through the collaboration between the Anne Carlsen Center and TNT Kid’s Fitness. Both organizations have a rich history of knowledge and experience working in child development, while focusing on the importance of physical activity and movement. This unique partnership allows us to serve children and commit to respectful and collaborative relationships with families."

Our Story

In June 2006, a bright idea came to life as a small group of individuals designed a 20,000 sq ft dream center with a vision to provide a place for physical activity and training opportunities for a broad array of children from the child with special needs to the competitive athlete, all experiencing amazing personal success. TNT’s framework from the beginning was built upon vision and ambition. We connect people, adapt, and modify. These are our guiding principles. It’s a driving force that allows us to be visionary and instill creativity into our business plan, curriculum, and collaborative partnerships. With TNT’s mindset of collaboration, we recognized each opportunity to better serve by working together.

TNT is an organization that strives to unlock potential through movement. TNT is just 1 of 2 organizations in the entire country that provides inclusive programs for multiple abilities. TNT has accomplished this by providing inclusive settings to meet the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of all individuals served. TNT’s intent is to support the community goal of preparing children to succeed. TNT staff, alongside 200+ school paraprofessionals/special education teachers, work together to utilize TNT’s intended tools and methods that are transferable back to the school setting. It is our trait to be innovative. TNT has spent years developing a wide-range of special needs curriculum, professional development, and building partnerships to gain knowledge to best enhance learning for all abilities.

TNT has 3 defined accomplishments that demonstrate innovation:

1. A 10-year partnership with Essentia Health. Focused on serving children 0-5 which are the most critical years of a child’s life by collectively partnering with their pediatric health services and TNT's developmental movement to help our children grow physically, emotionally, and cognitively. A proactive approach and a first for our region!

2. Explorer Academy is North Dakota’s first K-8 special education day school with integrated project-based STEAM and gross motor program opportunities. TNT designed North Dakota's first sensory gym in a school setting and partnered their services to support students with unique abilities to explore their talents in a safe environment while receiving global supports to maximize their full potential in partnership with families and the community.

3. ABLE, a brand and vision with Connor McGovern, NFL Jets Center and Fargo native. TNT is creating a Framework “Movement – Education – Vocation” to change the trajectory of inclusion in competitions, inclusive physical education curriculum in local schools, and now vocation. TNT’s mission “We BELIEVE that every individual is able to unlock their potential through movement” is what has and will continue to drive our goals.
