Fargo’s TNT Kid's Fitness & Gymnastics Receives $40,000 in Emergency Funding from the North Dakota Department of Commerce

TNT Outlines Plans To Use Grant For Updates and Technology Designed to Provide Better Protection from COVID-19 Transmission


Fargo, ND (October 8, 2020) – TNT Kid's Fitness & Gymnastics is pleased to announce it has received an Emergency Resiliency Grant (ERG) from the North Dakota Department of Commerce for $40,000. TNT will use the funds to make updates to the facility and purchase new equipment all designed to disinfect, decrease touch spots and better filter and purify air throughout. Here is a list of items purchased to help increase customer confidence in the safety of the facility:


  • Furnace units will have an iWave air purifier which actively purifies the air supply, killing bacteria and viruses INCLUDING reducing COVID-19 and other airborne mold spores

  • All bathrooms will have automatic toilet/urinal flushing

  • All bathrooms will have auto faucets

  • Face masks for children and adults

  • A healthy supply of safe chemicals to support the increased cleaning of equipment in between every class.

  • Several buckets of disinfectant gym wipes for equipment throughout the facility.

  • Additional carpet vacuums and supply of shampoo for increased disinfecting.

  • Reimbursement for improvements made in June and July to help TNT open prior to the Grant.


"We are extremely grateful to receive this grant," says Kim Pladson, Executive Director of TNT Kid's Fitness & Gymnastics. “We want to do everything we can to gain the confidence of our customers so they can get back in the gym feeling good about continuing to do what they love.”


As a thanks to the North Dakota Department of Commerce, kids at TNT have created a “Wall of Thanks” that is currently on display.
