Parkinson's Performance Boxing

Over one million people in the United States are diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, and more than 60,000 are diagnosed each year. Parkinson's Performance Boxing gives individuals diagnosed with the disease hope by improving their quality of life through a non-contact boxing based fitness curriculum. TNT is proud to offer this innovative program to the Fargo-Moorhead and surrounding communities.

What are the classes like?

Individuals participate in a 60-minute pre-planned workout routine in a group setting led by a TNT coach. During class the participants will rotate through adapted boxing drills quickly to maintain intensity. The drills include a variety of focus mitts, heavy bags, speed bags, jump rope, core work, and more.

Why Boxing?

Parkinson’s causes a loss in many of the same elements that boxers condition to improve. Among them are balance, muscular endurance, footwork, and hand-eye coordination. Published medical research has shown that forced, intense exercise can reduce, reverse, and delay Parkinson’s symptoms.

Contact Lacey@tntkidsfitness.org to set up a trial class. At the trial class you will receive a registration packet and find days and times to attend the class that works for you.
